But there remains a part of me who is forever wondering, dreaming, and seeing beyond.

In my teens, I liked to gaze at the stars and wondered about time and death. I was obsessed with the psychological, philosophical & mystical depths of our existence. I even thought about studying Psychology in college but my down-to-earth parents talked me out of it. I chose a business major for ‘practical’ concerns.

Despite what seems a normal and to some glamorous high-income financial career for over a decade, my soul’s whisper to the subtler realms never faded. An avid traveler (Sagittarius Moon), I had lived in three continents - Asia, Europe and North America - before settling down in Hong Kong with my husband during my Saturn Return, which kick-started a ‘template’ shift.

It took a cosmic rebel (Uranus) to wake up my ‘creative rebel’ within.

Soon after the birth of my second daughter, a precipitous Uranus transit jolted me out of the ‘normal’ path and into the ‘woo woo’ land (as seen through the lens of my practical mind, that is). (Astrological note: Planet Uranus symbolizes the rebel, the catalyst and the revolutionary in the system).

I realized I didn’t want to follow the path of some else’s. I was not ‘the good girl I always have to be’. In retrospect, my inner rebel had left me a lot of ‘bread crumbs’ along the way to lead me back to who I truly am.

• At age 20, I went against my parents’ worries and backpacked through Southeast Asia alone for 3 weeks, only to find myself half way through the trip declined entry into Malaysia from Thailand (for peculiar reasons), abandoned by the tour bus and stranded in a dangerous border town late in the evening with no travel companion and no plan. That night as I lay awake and dared not text-message my parents about what had just happened, I experienced deep fear as well as total trust that I would be safe and protected.

• At age 25, I declined an MBA offer from Harvard Business School which would’ve made my parents (& ancestors) proud, only to pursue a new job opportunity in London, because freedom and experience felt much more tempting to me than an honorable status symbol from one of the most prestigious MBA programs in the world.

• At age 29, I had an epiphany that rendered me a sudden understanding of the teachings by the Spiritual Teacher J. Krishnamurti, whom I had tried to understand for 10 years. To me, he was a rebel in many ways to wake up the collective and raise human consciousness.

From the ‘Uranian’ wake-up call, I learnt Co-Active Coaching, dived into Astrology and embraced my shadows and fears, reconnected with my intuition through the Akashic Records training, came to realize my energetic vulnerabilities and sensitivies from Human Design (I’m a Projector), and voyaged into the deep waters of my woundings and release my hidden genius through the Gene Keys (we all have genius inside our genes, that’s why it’s called gene-ius).

Awakening is a journey of remembering.

I remembered my rebellious streak. I remembered my soul self as a Messenger of Wisdom, a Cosmic Translator and a Healer. And the same time, I’m committed to life in this Earth School through being a wife, mother, daughter, and planting myself firmly on the material ground.

The practical me remains skeptical about diving deeper and deeper into the mystical world, ‘You don’t know how this works. You are just a baby in the woo-woo land.’

But I have learned to embrace the fear of not knowing, and remind myself again and again of the message I received in my very first Akashic Records reading:

‘You’ve been training for this for lifetimes.’

I am grateful for my nonlinear, winding, sometimes seemingly backward paths to get here. I am multifaceted like a crystal. When logic meets intuition, magic happens. Like the ‘craft’ of Astrology, my analytical mind helps me make sense of patterns and geometries, and synthesize charts quickly. From there I tap into my intuitive side to distill the essence and bring forth the cosmic messages without the fluff.

We are coming home to ourselves.

I’ve always been drawn to the water. I grew up in a small Chinese city by the sea, and ever since adulthood, the cities I have lived and worked in - Shanghai, Singapore, Hong Kong, London, New York & Los Angeles - are all close the water. To me, oceans and rivers are an invitation to keep my eyes and heart wide open, and to remind me there’s so much that I can’t see and don’t know (and that’s okay). Water also carries memories and wisdom; it’s a sacred container to hold all that is needed for us to changes to happen.

For the mindful, soulful mamas…

In my early years as a working mom with two children, my long-built foundations started to crack and crumble. I found myself feeling lost, isolated, and abandoned. I had experienced physical rupture inside my belly (postpartum hernia), emotional breakdowns that shattered my self-worth, and mental brick walls that my once-capable mind couldn't pass through. My intimate relationship also suffered.

I arrived at a threshold where I had no choice but to surrender to the unknown and ask for higher guidance.  

Then Astrology found me. It was like the Universe finally handed me the ‘ultimate parenting guide’ that contains the keys to unlock my children’s unique superpowers. It helped me make sense of the quirky & mysterious parts of my children that once bewildered my mind. Then Human Design came along to help me understand how my children interact with the world energetically and how best to nurture their inner authority. Finally, Spirit knocked at my door through the Akashic Records and opened up a whole new dimension for me to understand my sacred agreements with my children.

Little by little, parenting became less stressful, and more blissful. I feel anchored and guided by the Divine blueprint. I feel seen and understood whenever the ‘mom guilt’ sneaks in.

There are still day-to-day ups and downs, but they are less triggering to me, because I have a more spacious container to hold our emotions and fears together. I ‘get’ them now, not with my intellect, but with my heart.

There is no better teacher than our children.

My elder daughter was a highly sensitive and emotional child whose Scorpion intensity may be as strong as mine. She shows her emotional intensity and depth in the purest form, and demands my acceptance, understanding and unconditional love.

My second daughter has a firecracker spirt which is constantly testing boundaries. She calls out my inner warrior to respond with honesty, openness and vulnerability.

I see it now - it’s in our soul agreement to help each other learn and heal in this life time.
